How can Moldova use the energy crisis to reintegrate the country?

With the expiration of the gas transit contract through Ukraine on 1 January 2025, Moldova was left without energy supply in the middle of the harsh winter marking the beginning of another energy crisis just ahead of the crucial elections later this year. The crisis may put at risk the European future of the country while presenting, at the same time, an historic opportunity for the country reunification.
