CERISE lecture on 19 April: “International Criminal Law after Bucha: Avenues for Responsibility.

Dr Gleb Bogush is currently a visiting researcher at the Uppsala University, and visiting lecturer at the University of Luxembourg. Prior to March 2022 he was an associate professor at Moscow State University and HSE University in Moscow, Russia, where he taught public international law and international criminal law.

Gleb Bogush’s research interests include international public law, international criminal law, international justice, international human rights law. His most recent publications and talks deal with the issues of criminal responsibility for core international crimes, national implementation of international law in the Russian legal order, and the history of international criminal justice. He is an editorial board member at Criminal Law Forum and Revue Internationale de Droit Pénal.

Gleb Bogush holds his law degree from Moscow State University and defended his PhD on the UN Convention against Corruption in 2004. In 2012 -2015 he was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (Freiburg, Germany). Gleb Bogush frequently acted as an expert before the courts of various jurisdictions, and international organisations. He is a member of the International Law Association Committee on the Use of Force. He is included in the list of assistants to counsel before the International Criminal Court.
